DKOU 2025: LINK Highlights Innovation, Clinical Collaboration, and Technological Advancement
At this year's DKOU in Berlin — Germany's premier meeting for orthopedics and trauma surgery, as well as one of Europe's leading scientific congresses — LINK demonstrated its dedication to innovation and close collaboration with the surgical community. The company introduced a newly structured booth with an open lounge design and a calmer, more collegial atmosphere. Along with an exclusive LINK coffee blend roasted specifically for the congress, this setup fostered an inviting environment for focused professional exchange.
Helmut D. Link, Owner and Managing Director, recorded a brief video message at the booth to welcome visitors and encourage the orthopedic community to explore LINK’s presence at the DKOU.
Interest in LINK’s portfolio was further demonstrated by visits from Congress President Prof. Dr. med. Christoph Lohmann ,Director of the Orthopedic University Clinic Magdeburg, who has maintained long-standing professional ties with the company.
Peter Willenborg, the Managing Director, noted that LINK is motivated by developing implant systems and instruments that help surgeons achieve reliable and reproducible results. He emphasized that the company’s work is driven by an ongoing commitment to solution-oriented engineering and close inter-
action with users in daily clinical practice.
Product Innovation Across Hip, Knee, and Shoulder
According to Dario Lupo, the Head of Marketing, LINK continues to hold a strong position in the ortho-
pedic market, both in Europe and internationally. This year's product highlights included developments across the hip, knee, and shoulder portfolio, including Link OptiStems. They are anatomical femoral pressfit stems that were developed for metaphyseal implant anchoring as a stem portfolio expansion and a new addition to the LINK Endo-Model system.
Augmented Reality Solution and Hands-On Workshops
One of the technological highlights at the booth was the Augmented Reality demonstration for knee arthroplasty from Pixee Medical (https://pixee-medical.com/en/). The system attracted considerable interest among visitors. Dedicated workshops allowed surgeons to explore AR-guided workflows and discuss potential applications in reconstructive knee surgery.
Conclusion
With new portfolio elements, advanced technologies, and a booth concept that encourages interaction with experts, LINK reaffirmed its status as a reliable, forward-thinking partner in primary and revision arthroplasty of large joints at DKOU 2025.
