  • Intraoperative flexibility provided by versatile acetabular cup system with shared basic instrument set

  • 50 mm/36 mm tribological pairing with ceramic/ceramic

  • Minimally invasive implantation is possible

The acetabular cup family on which the CombiCup system is based was developed in 1999 in collaboration with Prof. Giacometti Ceroni (Galeazzi Institute, Milan). The aim of this development was to improve hip stability, reduce the risk of hip prosthesis dislocation and to optimize the frictional properties of joint components.

The CombiCup System is a versatile acetabular cup system, consisting of the CombiCup Press-Fit Acetabular Cup, CombiCup Screw-in Acetabular Cup and CombiCup Revision Acetabular Cup. The acetabular cups can be combined with inserts made of BIOLOX delta* ceramic and also PE and X-PE (crosslinked UHMWPE). In addition, the CombiCup Revision System comprises neutral, lateralizing and angled adapters (Face changer) for various anatomical situations.

Intelligently designed and sensibly graduated options permit reconstruction of virtually all anatomical situations. Furthermore, identical acetabular cup inserts, a shared basic instrument set plus specific additional instruments together guarantee intraoperative flexibility and lean inventory.
